Winterthur Life Indonesia founded in 1990 as a joint venture between Winterthur Life Switzerland with its worldwide operations, PT. Asuransi Wahana Tata, one of the leading general insurance companies in Indonesia and PT. Ekamulia Catrapratama.

 

In 1997 Winterthur Group merged with Credit Suisse Group. By renaming to Credit Suisse Life & Pensions Indonesia in 2002, the company is able to benefit from this worldwide-known brand. The composition of share ownership of Credit Suisse Life & Pensions Indonesia remains unaltered.  

 

PT. Credit Suisse Life & Pensions Indonesia renamed PT. Asuransi Winterthur Life Indonesia, as of April 3, 2006.  

 

Currently, Winterthur Life Indonesia is operated and owned by PT Asuransi Wahana Tata and its group.
